Video for 'When I Was A Young Gal'
We wrote this song a few years ago as a protest song against corruption, social injustice, persuasion and control for the sake of financial profit - all coming forth from the self-absorbed morality of those in charge of economy, politics and media.
We can only support initiatives like the indignés, indignados, occupy wall street and all others. People are damn right to stand up and not take this anymore. We hope the movement will continue growing, until their concerns can no longer be ignored. We hope this video, compiled of handmade footage from demonstrators all over the US and Europe, will help the movement spread their message.
We are using a stripped-down rehearsal recording of the song, because it sounds more realistic and goes together well with the footage. In the meanwhile we are writing arrangements for the song to be included on our next cd.
It is only a song but we believe that in a good world a song can make a difference.
